  • Day Department Curriculum Design

Four-year technical program

The department currently enrolls 1 class with 20 enrollment places. The enrollment sources include 8 high school students, 6 vocational students who apply for admission, and 6 who are registered and distributed. The total credits for graduation from the curriculum planning are 138, of which 30 are general credits. Credits, 38 credits for professional foundation, 52 credits for professional courses, and 18 credits for electives.

Curriculum development is to strengthen students' professional ability, practical ability, and focus on the cultivation of whole-person nursing ability, so as to cultivate students to become practical talents with nursing profession.

The curriculum planning is designed according to students' characteristics, learning needs and employment needs. The current nursing talent training method is transformed into practice through curriculum innovation, so that students can not only possess the eight major qualities required by traditional nursing education, but also have innovative ability and literacy. Trends and industry needs, so that graduates can enhance their agility in improving nursing measures and innovation in nursing in clinical practice, and expand their career scope with this ability.

 

Two technical education system

Based on educational goals and cultivating students' core competencies, courses are divided into general courses (including language courses), professional basic courses, professional core courses and professional elective courses. Language ability is the foundation of professional ability development, so it is arranged to study in the first grade. In order to improve their professional English ability, practical English courses are offered to strengthen their familiarity with medical terminology and professional English conversation.

The Liberal Arts Conservation General Course includes categories such as Technology and Society, Philosophy and Moral Thinking, World Civilization, Career Development, Literature and Art, etc., to promote students' knowledge and ability of people and the environment.

Professional basic subjects, including basic medical courses, health assessment and experiments, biostatistics and experiments, introduction to nursing research, professional and ethics and other professional basic courses.

In addition to the implementation and practice of nursing courses in various disciplines, the core professional courses cooperate with East Asian Memorial Hospital and Cathay General Hospital in the "Employment Integration Plan" to enhance students' professional competitiveness and workplace retention rate, and promote students to be integrated into employment.

In the elective part of the major, for the second-skilled students who have already studied nursing, the department provides a variety of elective courses, including health promotion, multicultural care, nursing innovation, elderly care, dementia care, long-term care, acute and critical care. , palliative care, early care, nursing administration and other courses.

 

 

  • Curriculum Design of Advanced Education Department

The courses of the Continuing Education Department aim to enhance the professional ability of on-the-job students, and the professional compulsory courses focus on practical courses, such as the course "Case Report Writing" which is required for advanced clinical courses; , "Long Term Care". In terms of internship courses, two-stage internships are planned, and a method for crediting credits for internship courses is established. Students are exempted from some internship courses. Students who receive credit for internship courses need to take the "Integrated Case Analysis" course and study clinical case studies in the course. , Nursing Inference and Decision Processes. The elective courses offer multicultural nursing, nursing innovation, early care, patient safety and risk management, nursing administration and other courses for students to choose courses as appropriate.
